AUGUST
GRUŠOVLJE, September 1, 2024- Štrukljifest
The Štrukljifest festival attracts over 2000 people every year. Organizers, as well as enthusiasts of this dish, aim to establish štruklji (a traditional Slovenian dish) as an international culinary specialty. Heritage, gastronomy, and culture serve as lasting motifs for attracting guests and thus reviving the tradition and quality of local products. Combining the culture of the time with natural resources, the goal is to bring traditional dishes and rural singing traditions closer to people. This music and gastronomy festival unite traditional and modern Slovenian music with a rich selection of handmade štruklji, aiming to introduce our culture to a younger audience, foreign guests, and remind ourselves, Slovenians, that we have much to showcase to Europe. In the treasury of national dishes and musical melodies, the tourism offer, which should also be diverse in this area, requires an orientational guide.
Štrukljifest will take place this year from 13:00 to 19:00 in Rečica ob Savinji.
