The beginnings of the camp date back to the year 2000, when the owner Jure Kolenc decided that the camp has the potential to develop into one of the leading tourist locations in the heart of the valley and near the Savinja River, which few believed at the time. With his perseverance and stubbornness, and with the help of his partner Katja Cafuta, the camp has grown from year to year until it gained its current form.
In 2012, Katja also took over the management of the restaurant Gostilna Menina, which pampers camp guests and outside visitors with local cuisine, pizzas, and ribs from the bread oven. The spacious terrace of the restaurant ensures that you can enjoy a sunny day, and at the same time overlook a large children's playground, where the youngest visitors will certainly not be bored.

In the last twenty years, the camp has created a lake suitable for swimming and water mischief, about 40 mobile homes, bungalows, and wooden eco-houses and lodges with spacious terraces, and over 200 camping pitches that offer comfortable camping with a tent, caravan, or campervan under the shelter of trees.

In addition, in Menina, we are widely recognized for our rich offer of sports and other leisure activities for adults and children. There is an adrenaline park in the camp, divided into two levels so that it provides adventure among the treetops for children over the age of four, meanwhile the longer route with ten stations and a zipline will delight all young at heart, regardless of age.

In addition to the adrenaline park, there are many other activities available in the camp: miniature golf course and go-karts for children, rafting, kayaking, SUP, bellyak, or canyoning, all accompanied by our experienced team of Funpark instructors who will provide a safe and unforgettable experience. In the summer season, there is children’s animation, socializing for teenagers, live music, beer and wine tastings, zumba and yoga, visits to local festivals, and much more; you will surelyfind something for yourself.

Given the wide range of activities, accommodation, and culinary offerings, in recent years the camp has become one of the most popular places for picnics, team buildings, outdoor schools, and birthdays, as we adapt the offer to your group.

We also take care of animation for children's birthdays, and your little ones will definitely not be bored with big playgrounds, go-karts, and an adrenaline park. Of course, the youngest members of Jure's family, daughters Špela and Nina, are also in charge of "testing" the entertainment offer for children. They are happy to participate in work and camping activities, so we can optimistically expect what Camping Menina will offer us in the next twenty years.
