The Savinja Valley is famous for its green hills, rich forests and high mountains, which are reflected in its mirror, the clear river Savinja. The source of the Savinja river, the Rinka waterfall in the Logarska valley,one of the most visited Waterfalls in Slovneija, is certainly her most beautiful portrait, worthy of a stop and admiration.



Savinja river continues its way from the Logarska valley along a rocky and beautiful ravine past the towns of Luče, Ljubno and past Camping Menina, Mozirje, Celje and Zidani Most, where it pours out into the Sava River. Due to numerous rapids stages II. and III., diversity and steeper falls, this part, past Luče and Ljubno, is the most beautiful and suitable for water sports such as kayaking and rafting, which we offer among other activities in Camp Menina.


Almost 50 different fish species live in the Savinja River, the most famous of which are trout, rainbow trout and huchen in the upper part of the river. Concern for maintaining the cleanliness of the river, especially in the mountainous part of the river, to the place Radmirje, where the river is of first-class quality, is strongly involved in the lives of the people who live here.


Precisely because of its purity and unspoiled nature, the Savinja River is also interesting for summer visitors, swimmers and holidaymakers. It offers pleasant refreshment on hot summer days, natural shade in the riverside vegetation and peace and quiet when you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
