While discovering the Upper Savinja Valley, the path will surely take us to the idyllic Logarska Valley, where the 105-meter-high Rinka Waterfall is located, which is a well-known tourist spot and the largest of the twenty waterfalls in the valley. You will get information about it practically at every step - and make no mistake, it is absolutely worth a visit, as the valley is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.
Rinka Waterfall
When you visit Logarska dolina, you can also see the natural monument Palenk waterfall, which is located next to the hotel Plesnik and with a height of 78 meters will not leave you indifferent.
For all lovers of waterfalls, the exploration is just beginning, as several beautiful waterfalls are hidden in the valley, among which the Cuc waterfall and Rep waterfall in Luče are highlighted. With their unspoiled beauty and easy accessibility, they allow you to go on a tour with small children, and at the same time avoid the tourist hustle that is typical of the Rinka waterfall in the summer months.
A short thematic path leads to Repov slap, starting at Žagerski mill (at the crossroads in Luče you turn into the Podvolovljek valley), which is one of the oldest still operating water mills with a venerable age of over 250 years. The trail is only a good 800 meters long, which will take you about 20 minutes, so you can take advantage of the visit to the waterfall for a relaxing Sunday walk that will not tire you too much. At the finish, you will be impressed by the view of a 25-meter three-stage waterfall in the middle of the forest, which will definitely brighten your day. I recommend hiking shoes and a drink from the backpack, as the location is away from the tourist infrastructure.
Repov slap
There is also an undemanding marked path to the Cuc waterfall, which will take you 45 minutes one way, and there is also a lookout point in front of the waterfall. It is 60 meters high and is one of the canyoning points, which is a fantastic experience for all adrenaline enthusiasts who would like to descend over two steps of the waterfall with a total height of 15 meters. It is located in the Podvolovljek valley, just like the previously described Rep waterfall.
Cuc Waterfall
We recommend visiting the waterfalls after heavy rains, when the water flow is greatest, especially in spring and autumn; of course, you won’t be disappointed during the summer either.
